Story time

I don’t know about you, but Hurricane Milton looming in the gulf led to some weird emotions all week.

I can’t explain it effectively in words, so I’ll explain it using GIFs instead.

Here’s how it went down…

Sunday – Tropical storm, huh?

Monday – Oh, Ok.

Tuesday – 180 MPH winds? Uh…

Wednesday morning – Nothing we can do about this…

Wednesday night- Welp…

Thursday 1 AM – Well crap, there it goes.

Thursday 6 AM – Why are you moving so slowly, Milton?

Thursday 11 AM – Arrive at Rockpit. Think “Oh. Not so bad. Let’s clean up and get some customers in here.” Oh, wait…

Thursday afternoon – Not sure how long our power will be out…

Thursday night – GO OUC! 

Well, we did have power for about 2 hours. It went out for another 3 hours before finally coming back on again at 11 PM.

That was a wild ride. Overall, we escaped with very little damage other than losing revenue for the time we were down.

It appears most of us here in Orlando experienced the same thing, which I’m thankful for. Shout out to OUC for getting us back up and running so quickly.

Pop Punk Dad Rock is a two-piece rock band that covers pop-punk and alt-rock hits from the 1990s and 2000s. They bring an interactive and high-energy rock show wherever they go. PPDR has performed in venues around Orlando, such as Tin Roof, Rock and Brews, and events such as Bike Nights.

The goal of any PPDR show is to make people feel like they are seeing their favorite rock bands from “back in the day” live and bring back the nostalgia we all love. There is something for everyone in the set and multiple generations of music lovers are sure to be entertained.

Calista created the perfect fall mule with cinnamon vanilla moonshine, apple pie moonshine, lime juice, and ginger beer.

Common Knowledge / Kentucky Common

Created and brewed with our good friend Dan Morrison, this Kentucky Common recipe recently won several homebrew awards, including two gold, two silver, and one bronze medals.

It drinks like a German Dark Lager, with a enjoyable malty character and a little spice from the rye malt.

 Kentucky Seltzer Releases

What’s a Kentucky Seltzer? It’s a moonshine-based seltzer created using real fruit juice and purees. We won’t use artificial flavors. We won’t use extracts unless we make them using fresh ingredients (fruit, vanilla beans, etc).

If they need to be sweetened, we use natural sugar and monk fruit for our low-carb versions (coming soon).

Blackberry Lemonade Kentucky Seltzer / 6.6% ABV

PIC COMING SOON

Created with blackberry puree, organic lemon juice, in-house-distilled moonshine and natural sugar, it has a tart and perfectly balanced sweetness. It’ll give you that blackberry and lemon tartness up front with a sweet finish.

Cranberry Orange Kentucky Seltzer / 6% ABV

It is created with 100% cranberry juice, 100% orange juice, and in-house-distilled moonshine and orange liqueur. The cranberry and orange combine to create a sweet-tart-like flavor that isn’t too sweet or tart—just the right amount of both.
