This week’s new beer packs a citrus and vanilla punch. The bottle release is a taproom favorite that’s been aging in rum barrels for 5 months and being released just in time for National Rum Day.
Combine either of the new releases with our Sunday brunch and you have a match made in heaven.
Orange Whip – Orange Vanilla Cream Ale
Based on the infamous cocktail from the classic movie “The Blues Brothers”, Orange Whip.
Orange Whip is a classic cream ale aged on 50 vanilla beans and 120 Navel Oranges zested and juiced.
You get a big citrus burst with vanilla goodness on the backend.
If you like those beers with some citrus tang, this is DEFINITELY the beer for you.
5.5% ABV
You can purchase limited four-packs, crowlers, and growlers to go in the taproom or order to-go at https://rockpitbrewing.com/store
Rum Barrel-Aged Nightmare Shift – Dunkelweizen Doppelbock aged in Rum Barrels
Named for the 22 hour brew day that it took to make it. This beer is a Dunkelweizen that has been brewed to Bock strength and then aged in Rum Barrel’s for 5 months and released specifically for National Rum Day, which is this Sunday, 8/16.
What you get is a classic German beer with rum oak flavor, tiny hints of banana and clove, warming alcohol that finishes smooth and balanced.
