With just a week left to go until Christmas, I’m sure more than a few of you have waited until the last minute to buy some gifts. Me included…
Or you found out that you’re going to an unexpected party where you need to bring a gift along. Always my favorite thing this time of year.
Either way, I’ve put together a list of last-minute gifts you can give to your favorite beer enthusiast.
And if YOU happen to be that beer lover and want to give someone a “nudge, nudge, wink, wink” on what to get you, send them to this page pointing out the gifts you now so desperately want.
I’ve included things that I, as a huge beer enthusiast, own already or would love to receive as a gift. And of course, I pitch a few RockPit gift ideas.
I’ve ensured these are available locally or available somewhere that has last-minute shipping available that should get there in time for Christmas. The only one I’m not 100% sure of is the RTIC and Growlerwerks merchandise.
That said, let’s find you a last-minute gift that someone will love!
RockPit Brewing Gift Card / Certificate ($10 – $250)
This is a no-brainer. If you know someone who loves RockPit and you want to grab them something you know they’ll love, send them one of these. The cool thing is you can send it via email on the date of your choosing. So it will arrive whenever you want without lifting a finger.
That’s not entirely true. You still have to type their email address.
Or you can pick one up in the brewery while enjoy a few beers including the newly released “Pair of extra gloves”
Limited Edition RockPit Christmas Baseball T-Shirt (Unisex) ($15)
What shows how much you love Christmas more than this limited edition Christmas RockPit baseball t-shirt? Besides dressing up as Santa and sitting at the bar like our Santa does, nothing.
Made from an ultra-soft blend of materials that is super comfortable, stylish and affordable.
RockPit Brewing Sweatshirt ($30)
Baby, it’s cold outside. Which in Florida means it’s below 70 degrees. Make the most of the cool weather by staying warm in one of our RockPit Brewing Sweatshirts. It’s good looking, warm and best of all, comfy.
Made from a warm and cozy 50/50 blend of soft cotton and polyester.
Chef Bob’s Bourbon Barrel Aged Coffee ($25)
This weekend, our good friend Chef Bob Aungst is doing another coffee pop-up at RockPit. This is EASILY some of the best coffee I’ve ever had. It smells wonderful and tastes even better.
If you have someone who loves coffee and you want to get them something they’ve never had before, pick up a bag of this coffee.
So. Freaking. Good!
You can pre-order at https://chefbobaungst.com/cb-boutique and pick it up this Saturday between 11:30 and 2:30 PM
Side benefit: We’ll have another batch of BlackStrap Con Leche treated with the coffee that sold out in two days last time.
RTIC Soft Pack 20 Cooler ($79)
Whenever you need to transport beer to your next party or day at the beach, do it with one of these. Why? They’re easy to carry, they fit a lot of cans (or bottles) and they keep your beer cold for a LONNNNGGGG time.
Plus they’re super durable.
GrowlerWerks Stainless Steel uKeg Carbonated Growler, 64oz ($169)
GrowlerWerks redesigned the traditional growler and took it to the next level. Anyone that has ever used a glass growler knows that as soon as you open it, you better drink the beer very quickly before it goes flat. Unlike traditional growlers, these keep your beer fresh and carbonated much, much longer. Weeks, even.
Plus it’s just plain cool to use.
I know… books? Yes, I love books and know others do too. Especially when it’s about our favorite subject: beer! A side benefit of sending them these books is they’ll be more than likely to come with you to the brewery more often to test their beer knowledge.
The Complete Beer Course: Boot Camp for Beer Geeks: From Novice to Expert in Twelve Tasting Classes ($15)
Want to send your friend or a family member down the bright and cheery path of becoming a true beer geek? This will certainly help. A wonderful book on the many styles of beers that will get them visiting their local brewery to lots of “research” taste testing beers.
The Beer Bible ($12.88)
The ULTIMATE guide to beer. Seriously. This book is packed with information about all the different beer styles from around the world. Like the book above, this book will send the recipient to breweries and bottle shops to perform more “research”. My wife is currently using this book to up her beer game and it’s working out pretty well.
A custom box of beer ($25-$50)
This is something I did several years ago for a few friends. I went to a local beer shop called Kenny’s Grocery in Orange City and bought random beers I thought looked interesting. You can do the same at any bottle shop or total wine.
Simply go through the store and find bottles and cans of beer that look good, buy them, stick them in a box and wrap the box. Easy, peasy.
Be careful though… I remember picking up Billy’s Chilies beer. That one hurt. Maybe avoid pepper beers unless you know the recipient likes them.
Don’t know what beers someone will like? Here’s a quick and easy way to find something most people will like.
1) Is it a double IPA or Imperial IPA? They’ll probably like it
2) Is it an Imperial Stout? They’ll probably like it
3) Is it bourbon barrel-aged? They’ll probably like it.
4) Is it from RockPit? They’ll probably like it.
5) Is it White Claw? Hell… they’ll probably like it too. Damn Claws…
So there you go. You now have some ideas on what to pick up for your last-minute gifts for those beer enthusiasts in your life that always seem so hard to shop for.
If I don’t see you this weekend at RockPit, I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas.
