Celebrate Orlando Beer Week with these four beer releases and live music

We’re finishing up the celebration of Orlando Beer Week with four beer releases and live music Friday night from 7-10 with Mississippi native Jessie Howell.

Beer Releases This Week

Come See Me In Florida – Tangerine Vanilla Double New England Milkshake IPA – 8.9% ABV

I had a sample of this last night and told Sean “this is going to get people in trouble.”

It’s so good and you can’t tell it’s 9% ABV. So enjoy responsibly.

It’s a Double New England Milkshake IPA brewed with experimental hop 586 (the same one used in Buried Sunshine), Citra, and Mosaic.

We then aged it on 120 pounds of tangerines and dozens of Madagascar vanilla beans.

A citrus bomb that will remind you of those sunny days in Florida. The good ones. Not the ones in August.

Velvet Whispers – Raspberry Chocolate Sour – 5.3% ABV

A smooth and sexy Chocolate Raspberry Sour appropriately named “Velvet Whispers” aged with tons of raspberry puree and cacao nibs.

You’ll no doubt hear “Careless Whispers” in your head as you savor each and every drop until there’s nothing left.

Smooth Brain IPA – Imperial Sour IPA – 8.3% ABV (small batch)

Jonathan Padover, our bartender and barback, wanted to brew a sour IPA with hibiscus. So we did.

Jonathan and the brew crew brewed this Imperial Sour IPA with all cashmere hops, soured with lactobacillus then aged with hibiscus flower for a tart, hoppy and dark berry finish.

And a lovely pink hue.

Smoky Sunshine – Grodziskie – 4% ABV (small batch)

Brewed with Paul Greenwald, a recent winner of our “Hot n Humid” homebrewing competition in the anomalous category. Meaning of all the weird beers, this was the best one.

It’s hard to find this style to sample so come get it while you can.

Small batch grodziskie brewed with oak-smoked wheat and falconers flight hops for a sessionable refreshing polish smoked wheat beer.
